Welcome to standalone version of GPApred


GPApred is a SVM based easy to use tool for the prediction of gram_pos_anchor (GPA) domain containing proteins (PFAM ID: PF00746). These proteins contain an LPXTG cell wall anchor motif. GPApred was developed by using different feature sets that includes, amino acid composition, dipeptide composition, physiochemical properties, and the hybrids as an input feature. The GPApred working module is based on optimally selected hybrid features which predict whether a given sequence is a GPA or non-GPA domain containing protein. In addition to the prediction results, the probability scores for each prediction are also provided.


To use GPApred as a standalone tool click Download
After download is complete, uncompress the file "GPApred_standalone.tar.gz", e.g.
On Linux: tar -xvzf GPApred_standalone.tar.gz
On Windows: To uncompress files with .tar.gz extension on Windows Click Here
Uncompressing the file will create a directory named "GPApred_standalone"
Go to this directory and follow the instructions provided in the readme file
