ContPro is a program for finding Contacts between Protein-Protein, Protein-DNA, Protein-Ligand. In order to use the program, the user can upload PDB file of Protein Complex. After uploading PDB file, User can select protein chain, Distance cutoff, Ligand at which Contacts is to be find.

Input PDB file may be downloaded from Sample Input link provided on ContPro for different types of complexes, or from PDB. Before Uploading the Pdb file User may select the option for the types of Interaction eg; Protein-Protein, Protein-DNA,Protein-Ligand. Once Option & PDB file is selected Click on Upload button to upload the selected file.

Once at the time of uploading option Protein-Protein is selected a web page for Protein-Protein interaction will be opened, from where the chain of protein in uploaded pdb file to which contacts to be find, cutoff distance option in Angstrom, other Protein chain of uploaded complex OR all other chain of uploaded complex may be selected.

All other protein chain is the chain other than the selected chain if found in complex.If all other chain is selected other chain option will not be consideyellow for finding contacts. Once Find contact button is clicked after selecting option mentioned above a web page will be displayed about details of contacts of selected protein chain and three ouput file will be generated to download.

Once at the time of uploading option Protein-DNA is selected a web page for Protein-DNA interaction will be opened, from where the chain of protein in uploaded pdb file to which contacts to be find, cutoff distance option in Angstrom, may be selected.
Once Find contact button is clicked after selecting option mentioned above a web page will be displayed about details of contacts of selected protein chain and three ouput file will be generated to download.

Once at the time of uploading option Protein-Ligand is selected a web page for Protein-Ligand interaction will be opened, from where the chain of protein in uploaded pdb file to which contacts to be find, cutoff distance option in Angstrom, Ligand option eg; Carbohydrate, Metal, ATP, ADP, AMP, GTP, GDP, GMP may be selected. Once Find contact button is clicked after selecting option mentioned above a web page will be displayed about details of contacts of selected protein chain and three ouput file will be generated to download.
